Recent tours:      Lauriston Girls School

Recently I was contacted to accompany a school tour group from Lauriston Girls School Yr 9 students for 2 days.

We visited sites such as Glenrowan (Siege site), Beechworth (site of Ned's preliminary trial ), Greta (Kelly Homestead), Powers Lookout, Mansfield (Police Memorial and Cemetery) and culminating in an overnight camp at Stringybark Creek (site of Police shootings) It was a fantastic trip , what a way to learn history !!!!

Here is a testimonial I received from the organising teacher , Mr Tom Hall and a beautiful thank you poster sent from the students.

To whom it may concern:

Paul joined our School on a tour of Kelly Country lasting two days. His presence and ability with the large group was unquestionable.

He knew his material backwards and presented it in an authentic and professional manner. He planned and executed historical experiences that were beyond the abilities of the classroom teacher and added a dimension to our study that could only come from a descendant of the Gang.

Paul is a passionate historian and a valuable resource to any school or organisation wishing to study this aspect of Australian History. He shares his knowledge in a well considered and student-friendly manner and I would strongly recommend Kelly Gang Educational Services without hesitation.

Tom Hall - Lauriston Girls School

Dear Paul,

On Behalf of the Howqua girls we would like to thankyou for you generosity of time and effort. We all really appreciate your view and understanding of the Kelly history, your insight is irreplacable and something we cannot get anywhere else. Your passion for Australian History is very admirable. Thankyou for educating us.

Best Wishes Lauriston's "Howqua Girls" 2005
